One of the hardest working promoters, talent buyers and booking agents in the North American electronic music scene, Justin has been responsible for touring numerous acts, across North America & beyond since 2003. He owns and operates Nexus Artist Management, along-side Chris Pattison (Co-owner) and together they work with some of the biggest Producers and DJ’s across the dance music universe. Outside of the booking agency and production company, Justin R.E.M. finds his place in the DJ booth, playing everything from deep house to techno, his dancefloor deliveries are both technical and sophisticated in sound. He’s played countless shows over the years, at venues to include the Dominican Republics’ High Room, Halcyon and Orchard Bar, in N.Y.C., the Winter Music Conference in Miami & Hawaii’s Ambrosia Ultra-Lounge, to name a few. He’s currently a Resident DJ and lead promoter at North America’s long-running electronic music series, Sunday Night Mass, which has been showcasing top-flight DJ’s from around the world, since 1998.
Nexus Artists (formerly, Flex Productions) have brought hundreds of events to life over the years. In the early 2000s they produced some of the most memorable all-night electronic music events, ever experienced in Vermont. Curating ground-breaking events, such as Fundamental, Germinate, Back 2 the New School, Synergy, To the Beat of The Heart (Cupid’s Revenge), Revolver (series), Synergy Sessions “LIVE”, Fundamental 2 & Don’t Sweat the Technics (which was made into a mini documentary produced by Derek Lee and Craig Mitchell, depicting Vermont Electronic Music culture and events, at the peak of its’ underground. These were key events, that would play an important role in the development of Electronic Music culture, in Vermont and surrounding states. Nexus held their official launch party, dubbed “ABUNDANCE” in 2003, which was the first “New England Electronic Music Festival” ever produced in the region. The event featured 45+ DJs, Producers, Visual Artists & Live Acts from six different countries on two stages, in Northern Vermont and remains the single largest outdoor electronic music showcase to date, in the Green Mountains. In 2025, the focus remains the same for Justin R.E.M., to provide high-quality electronic music events for the masses and seek new dancefloors to discover, while staying true to the brand that Nexus Artists has developed and has become known for globally, over the past 23 years.
